| Event title: | LIVING with Diabetes |
| Description/type of event (conference, monthly meeting, training, etc.): |
Whether you or a loved one have had diabetes for years or are recently
diagnosed, this workshop will help you better understand how you can LIVE
with diabetes. Come learn some the basics, the myths and facts but also a
lot of practical ideas on how to not only manage your diabetes but LIVE a
full life with it. Our main speaker will be Anne Dennis, Associate Manager of the American Diabetes Association. Ms. Dennis is also the author of "Taming the Diabetes Dragon", a children's book on how to grow up with diabetes. Also, come get a behind-the- scenes look at a family with a diabetic teenager and hear their daily struggles and successes with school, sports, diet, and life. This will be a casual but information-rich workshop that you won't want to miss! |
