| Event title: | ADA Teleconference: Social Network Sites & Accessibility |
| Description/type of event (conference, monthly meeting, training, etc.): |
Social networking has tremendous potential for employers to outreach to
people with disabilities. However, employers need to be concerned about the
use of such technologies in their business practices and the growing concern
over the accessibility of such technology. Careful consideration should be
given to how it can be effectively used to reach out to and interact with
people with disabilities. During this discussion more members of the Job
Accommodation Network (JAN) staff will discuss the critical issues and how
they can be addressed by employers. Speakers: Beth Loy, PhD, JAN Principal Consultant Linda Batiste, JAN Consultant |
