| Event title: | Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) Program |
| Description/type of event (conference, monthly meeting, training, etc.): |
The Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) Program is the largest federal tax
benefit program, and is credited with lifting millions of people out of
poverty. However, too often, many eligible families and individuals are
unaware of the tax credits they quality for under federal and state tax
codes. And when people do learn about EITC benefits, they often fear that
they may interfere with current benefits they are receiving. Mitzila will
provide valuable resources and information that can help people with
disabilities and/or low and moderate income individuals acquire the tax
benefits they have earned, including how EITC interacts with other public
benefits that people may already be receiving. Teleconference: Interested individuals can attend this presentation in person or via teleconference call. In order to attend via conference call, please call David no later than Monday, January 25, 2010. |
