Description/type of event (conference, monthly meeting, training, etc.): The 15th Annual Vision Rehabilitation and Technology Expo (VRATE) is a free, one-day event featuring the latest tools, information, and technology available to people with low vision, blindness, or combined vision/hearing loss.

WHEN: Friday, December 2, 2011, 9am-4pm.

WHERE: Shriner’s Auditorium, 552 N. 40th Street, Phoenix, AZ 85008. Short  distance from light rail and bus stop. Shuttle service to VRATE will be  available.

VRATE is the Southwest’s premiere expo for people with visual impairments,  their families, and the professionals who work with this population. This  free, one-day event features exhibits, vendors, and presentations from  experts in assistive technology and vision-related fields. Learn more  about the latest technologies, medical research, and helpful resources  available in our community.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND: People with vision loss, blindness, combined  vision/hearing loss (ASL and Tactile Interpreting available. Please rsvp.)
